We joined the waitlist on a Saturday mid morning. After waiting well past the time they had told us, we checked in with them. They told us they had called our name, which was not accurate. Nonetheless they were able to seat us within a few mins. Our server Luis was great! Gave us great explanation of their menu and specials. Food was good, to me pricey for the quality. Rolls were delicious. I had a special halibut which was good but the side dish was just sort of basic, still good. Views can't be beat!! We had a booth facing the water.

DON'T BE THROWN OFF BY THE LOCATION! Pier 39 is usually filled with tourist traps but this restaurant ISN'T one. This place is one of the most reviewed restaurants on Yelp for a reason. Food: The Calamari was a solid appetizer. The Mussel Fries was a pleasant surprise. Not the biggest fan of mussels and never had the two combined before but it was a hit. Our table ordered the Cioppino, Shrimp Brochette, and some pasta. Everyone enjoyed their entrees. I ordered the Seared Scallops and Crab Risotto. Plating came out clean and simple but each bite was so flavorful. Interior and Service: The inside is huge in space. It's clean with a classic SF feel/aesthetic to it. There's ample seating and great views overlooking the water. Service was great. Had a fun time dining at this place I will say to stick with the seafood options since that's their specialty. This place is on the pricey side but worth the splurge. Can't recommend Fog Harbor enough!

More like 3.5 stars. First off, the pros - Waiter and staff were excellent. Other than the hostess, everyone was friendly and service was great. Love that they brought hot sourdough rolls with butter to the table - so hard to just eat one. The clam chowder was very good, and so was the calamari. We made reservations for mom's big bday. Whispered it to the waiter at the beginning of our meal and, at the end, he brought her a blondie sundae with a candle and sang to her. That blondie was served warm with a scoop of ice cream, and she was happy. Now, the not so great things . . . I ordered the panfried halibut special. The fish was dry and the dish had no flavor. Kiddo loves red meat and ordered the NY Steak. Although the steak was cooked perfectly, he didn't care for the peppercorn sauce as he noted it was on the sweet side. Hubs ordered the Surf and Turf. To me, the lobster was salty. Dipping it in the butter seemed to make it saltier. Mom ordered the linguine w/ clams. She said it was ok, but the clams were small. Dad and sister ordered the scallop and crab risotto. They both said it was ok. BIL ordered the lobster roll. He said it was ok. Nephews were happy with their kid burgers. We'd probably return for the rolls and clam chowder, for sure. Unfortunately, the entrees weren't the greatest.

We found this place while searching for lobster rolls. The restaurant itself is nice and I enjoyed the views. Our waitress could've done better. She took our drink and food order but never came back after we got our food. That's why I'm giving 4 stars. The fog harbor lager was crisp and cold, perfect with my lunch. I ordered the clam chowder bowl and ceasar salad, which was very good. I didn't taste the fish, but it looked delicious, and I was told it was good. The fries were also very good. I will definitely be back when visiting SF.

Food was great, great service and beautiful ambiance and great view, thank you Daniela, we will definitely come back, thank you

The food is magnificent and the service is exquisite. I recommend this place to everyone. It's a little pricey, but once you taste their food, it's worth it.

Great stop on Pier 39. LUIS WAS AMAZING AND SO MUCH FUN! We sat outside which was beautiful.
